1971 CB450 Bobber

This bike started off as a pristine '71 CB450, garage kept, third owner, 3000 miles. I put a hundred miles on it before deconstruction. It was stripped down to the frame and motor. The only other stock items still on the bike are the pegs, headlight and rear drum assembly. The build was inspired by a Gravel Crew custom. Benji from BCR created the tanks and exhaust from scratch. I also used one of his headlight brackets. Woody's Wheel Works built the wheels using Buchannan spokes, Harley rims and Shinko tires. Final fabrication, powdercoating and paint was done by John Jenkins at Kwik Blast and electrical and finishing tweaks were done by Doug Devine.

The project took 10 months and quite a bit of $$$. It was done the night before the Louisville Vintage Motorworks - Mod's vs. Rockers show and it won Best Rocker and Best in Show, and took home the Best Jap Bike from the Beatersville show the following day.
